The House of Manohar, established in 1969, is reputed for its quality, seriousness and scholarly publishing in the field of Social Sciences inSouth Asia. Our authors are drawn from South Asia, Japan, Europe, North America, Australia and other countries. In addition to publishing individual authors, we have co-publication arrangements with several reputed institutions.Manohar was initially engaged only in the sale of rare and out of print publications but soon branched out into export of new Indian publications, publishing of scholarly works and a showroom where one could browse and look at the latest Indian publications.Publishing: Manohar Publishers & Distributors are known for quality scholarly publications in the field of social sciences with a focus on India in particular and South Asia in general. Apart from individual authors, Manohar has over the years been collaborating with many prestigious institutions in India and abroad for publishing works sponsored by them. We publish 30-35 original titles every year and have grown into a major publishing house in the field.Distribution: For the past several years we have been involved in the distribution of books from well known foreign publishers of academic works including many British and American University Presses.Showroom: Our showroom on Ansari Road attracts a large number of booksellers, scholars – both Indian and foreign, and librarians. It carries huge stocks of latest Indian and foreign publications on various subjects. We are located at 4753/23 Ansari Road, Daryaganj, New Delhi - 110 002 right opposite Bank of Baroda. The place has lots of space to browse around and to sit and to go through books at leisure.Exports: Apart from our own publications, we stock, locate, procure and supply publications from different Indian publishers on a wide variety of subjects to a large number of overseas buyers – trade, libraries and individual scholars. Over time we have established ourselves as a reliable source for Indian publications.
