ANNOUNCING
MANOHAR SERIES ON HISTORIES/ANTHROPOLOGIES
EDITED BY
SAURABH DUBE AND CRISPIN BATES
Recent decades have witnessed critical crossovers between history
and anthropology, and between the humanities and the social sciences
more broadly. This series seeks to unravel and take forward the
terms of dialogue and debate between and across the disciplines.
To this end, the series proposes to carry prior, seminal works
as well as new, innovative scholarship in history, ethnography,
and sociology, including their intersections. Each of these disciplines
is understood here in the widest possible way.
We invite manuscripts on critical themes, which can range from
gender, environment and ethnicity; to community, state and civil
society, to nation, politics, and modernity; to art, science and
much else.
